Once again the run machine Virat Kohli done for India with 33rd
ODI hundred. Captain Virat Kohli carry his reputation as a ‘chase master' as he
scored 112 off 119 balls with help of 10 fours and put 189 run stands with
Ajinkya Rahane as India chase down the target of 270 with 27 balls remaining.
It was the highest stand for India in South Africa, while Kohli smashed his 20th hundred in a run chase. After scored freely across all over the world, this was his 1st ODI hundred against South Africa in South Africa.

Both the Captain wanted to bat first as the wicket is very pretty
good, but South Africa had a chance to choose bat first. South African openers
start their inning steady Amla was looking to play his strokes but misjudge off
Bumrah (1/56) in the seventh over and was given out LBW. De Kock and
Skipper added 53 runs for the second wicket and both are looking dangers for
India, but when Indian spinners come de Kock can't able to rotate the strike
and out LBW by the Chahal (2/45). After that African middle ordered doesn't try
to stand with the skipper and they scored just 134/5 in 28 overs, from here
skipper have to stay on pitch and rotate the strike and the right time Morris
comes and stand a 74 run partnership, which gives a chance to du Plessis to play
their strokes in the death overs, and the du Plessis smashed sup pup ton of 120
runs in 112 balls with 11 fours and 2 massive sixes, and manage to put 269/8 in
50 overs.
South Africa was happy with this total especially they were 134/5. Whenever African
middle ordered falling down India seems relaxed and they give the bowling to
the part-timers if India attacked by the Yadav (3/34) when Morris on the pitch
then there will be a chance to restrict them below 250.
India got off to a quick start with Rohit Sharma (20) and Dhawan
(35) adding 33 runs for the opening stand. Rohit looking in good form but
departs by Morne Morkel (1/35) in the seventh over and was out LBW. Dhawan and
Kohli added 34 runs for the second wicket stand and both are in good form to
take advantage of South Africa's spinners when the Dhawan was run-out by Aiden
Markram's direct throw.
Kohli and Rahane came together and they do not give a single
opportunity to Imran Tahir (0/51), even JP Duminy (0/16) and Markram’s (0/20)
had no impact in their short spells.
Rahane get his fifty in 60 balls. When their partnership crossed
150 off 154 balls. India reaches 200 in 36 overs and then Kohli celebrates his
maiden hundred against South Africa. Rahane was caught out in 43rd over, while
Kohli ended his wonderful inning in 45th over. And Dhoni finishes in his style
and India got to lead the ODI series.
